The Miss Latina Hawaii Scholarship Pageant serves as a preliminary pageant for the Miss Hawaii Pageant and the Miss America Organization. Our organization gives out three titles each year (Miss Latina Hawaii, Miss Paradise Latina & Miss Aloha Latina). All our titleholders have an opportunity to become a candidate in the Miss Hawaii Scholarship Pageant.
The Miss Latina Hawaii Scholarship Pageant has been established to provide Latina/Hispanic women the opportunity to grow as well-rounded individuals. Through participation in this program, candidates volunteer their time with local communities, experience important societal issues, develop professional and personal skills and showcase their talents. It also, gives our young Latina’s an opportunity to expand their education though Scholarships that may help defray their financial burdens.
Since the founding of our Miss Latina Hawaii Organization in October 2011 we are very proud of our young ladies; our First Miss Latina Hawaii was Joleen Iwaniec, that year she made the finals & became 3rd Runner-up & won the talent division in the Miss Hawaii Pageant. In 2016 our Miss Aloha Latina-Allison Chu, became Miss Hawaii & our Miss Latina Hawaii – Tiffany Johnson, took 4th Runner-up. In 2018, Miss Paradise Latina, Tiffany Johnson came back & took 1st Runner-up, Lifestyle & Fitness In swimwear & Talent. In 2019, Miss Paradise Latina, Aleksya Batoon received the Photogenic Award, Miss Aloha Latina, Tani De La Torre received the Miss Congeniality Award, and Miss Latina Hawaii, Noe Baladad took 3rd Runner up in the Miss Hawaii Scholarship Pageant.
